There is also an excellent weekly market and many fiestas and festivals are celebrated throughout the year, including the famous San Juan water festival held in June.
The historic city of Granada is approximately 50 minutes car journey and the airport just less than one hour from where there are direct flights to London.
Malaga airport is approximately one and a half hours journey as is the Costa del Sol. The Sierra Nevada ski resort can be reached within 80 minutes.

The Sierra Nevada national park and the Alpujarra region are a walkers paradise with its stunningly beautiful natural scenery, from impressive mountain ranges, hillsides dotted with Almond, Olive, Orange & Lemon trees, to verdant river valleys, this area has to be one of the most special and enchanting places in Andalucia.

Whilst being within easy reach of Granada and the Sierra Nevada, the Costa Tropical coastal area is also only 40 minutes away, where there is the attractive hilltop town of Salobreña which has lovely sandy beaches, as well as the larger town of Motril with offers a wide variety of amenities & facilities.
