Firework displays and bonfire events in Devon

It's that time of year again. Cozy fires, hot drinks, wrapping up warm, and of course, bonfires. Devon always holds lots of amazing firework displays during the cozy months of Autumn and Winter, so take a look below to find out where they are being held this year!

Friends of Watcombe Primary School Fireworks Display – Friday, November 4 2022
Ticket prices:


Family ticket £12 - 2 adults & 3 children

Tickets available to purchase before or on the night from the gates


Refreshments on sale - hotdogs, burgers, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks, sweets, chocolate, candy floss and glow products

Bonfire Night at St Boniface, Paignton – Sunday, November 6 2022 4:30pm - 6:30pm


A firework night at St Boniface, which includes:
Jacket Potato, firework themed kids craft, bonfire, laser light show with music, sparklers


Event is suitable for all ages, with no entry charge but donations are welcome.




Lantern, Lights & ‘Iuminations - Saturday 26th November 6:00pm - 9:00pm


Brixham Town Hall,New Road, Brixham


This year, Brixham is celebrating its Christmas lights switch on with ‘Lantern, Lights & ‘Iuminations’. The event includes a magical lantern parade, an incredible firework display held in the Harbour Bowl, live music, street entertainment, and a street market.




Fireworks at Kings Nympton Playing Fields – 5 November


Expect fireworks and warming refreshments at the Kings Nympton Playing Fields near Umberleigh this bonfire night.


Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for children.




Fireworks at Whimple Cricket Club near Exeter – 5 November 2022


Bonfire night and fireworks return to Whimple Cricket Club this November.


As well as the display there will be a bar, food stalls and a disco in the clubhouse.




Exeter Round Table Fireworks Display, Westpoint – 5 November 2022


The Exeter Round Table Annual Charity Fireworks Extravaganza takes place at Westpoint Arena on Bonfire Night.




Exmouth RNLI Fireworks – 4 November 2022


East Devon’s largest firework display is being held by Exmouth RNLI at Exmouth Rugby Club on Imperial Road.


This display is ticket with proceeds going to Exmouth Life Boat Station. Refreshments will be available.


Fireworks and Tar Barrels at Ottery St Mary – 5 November 2022 at 7pm


The Tar Barrels of Ottery St Mary is a tradition dating back hundreds of years.


Be warned, this is not an event for small children and can get very crowded.


Full-sized, lit tar barrels are carried through the street in a procession to the town’s bonfire. A fireworks display follows.
The event is free to attend.
